Hindi Hindi is one of the most spoken languages in India and is part of the Indo-Aryan language group. It has its roots in Sanskrit and has evolved over the centuries with influences from other languages, such as Persian and Arabic. Written in the Devanagari script, Hindi has a relatively simple grammar compared to Sanskrit. Modern Hindi is a living language widely spoken today.
